What We Do

The State Bar's performance metrics measure each State Bar office’s critical performance objectives, including operational efficiencies, customer responsiveness, and fiscal accountability.

  • First government entity in nation to address JudyRecords data breach proactively and publicly
  • Modified legal position in order to publicly reveal Thomas V. Girardi misconduct
  • Groundwork set for Public Trust Liaison position 2023 launch, giving the public an in-house expert to help them with filed complaints, admissions questions, and other critical matters
More dexterity to hold procedures in-person, remotely, or both
  • After two years of remote bar exams, seamlessly returned to in-person exams in 2022
  • The State Bar Court updated and increased its remote hearing capabilities
  • Most State Bar employees work remotely, with in-office presence reduced to one day a week
  • Improved general public comment participation by increasing paid/earned social media and website ads, explanatory videos, and creating mini websites that highlight and easily explain key agenda items
